Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Mechanical Engineering to join our faculty. As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, as well as supervising research projects and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, including principles of organization, production processes, and organization and planning production.
  • Supervise research projects and mentor students in mechanical engineering.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and programs in mechanical engineering.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and advising students.

Requirements

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with specialization.
  • Strong background and demonstrable expertise in mechanical engineering.
  • Licence or eligibility for licensure as a professional engineer in one of the provinces of Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching and research in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
