Software Engineer, Identity Management Solutions
3 months ago
Are you passionate about leveraging technology to tackle business challenges? Do you thrive in environments that focus on advanced, distributed systems? Are you excited about working on projects that have a significant impact on the industry?
At Amazon, we are committed to hiring top talent in technology to innovate and deliver exceptional solutions for our customers. Our dedication to customer satisfaction is a core part of our company culture.
As a Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will utilize state-of-the-art technology to address intricate problems and witness the direct effects of your contributions.
The challenges faced by SDEs at Amazon are substantial, affecting millions of customers, sellers, and products globally. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic about developing new products, features, and services from the ground up while navigating uncertainty and the fast-paced nature of our development cycles.
If this resonates with you, consider the opportunity to shape your career at Amazon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experienced professionals to conceptualize, design, and launch innovative products and services.
- Engineer and implement cutting-edge technologies within a large-scale distributed computing framework, driving transformative changes in the industry.
- Create distributed systems that are scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and user-friendly.
- Develop and code effective solutions starting from broadly defined challenges.
- Engage in an agile environment to produce high-quality software.
A Day in the Life:
Your day begins with updating your tasks on the team sprint board, followed by participating in a daily meeting to share updates and align your priorities with the team's objectives.
Next, you will spend time coding a segment of a new feature and submit your code for peer review.
Later, you will conduct a thorough review of a colleague's code, providing insights on design, maintainability, and security aspects.
After lunch, you will address a ticket from the team's queue and, after initial analysis, convene a meeting with engineers from other teams to clarify the next steps.
You will also respond to inquiries from the product team and communicate with leadership to propose an idea and a plan for enhancing an operational aspect of the services your team manages.
By the end of the day, you will feel accomplished knowing you have made a meaningful impact.
About the Team:
The AWS IAM Identity Center (IdC) empowers customers to securely create or connect workforce identities and manage access centrally across AWS accounts and applications.
IdC streamlines the administrative complexities of federating and managing permissions for each AWS account, enabling customers to configure AWS applications from a unified interface and assign access to their cloud applications from a single location.
IdC also provides additional identity federation capabilities, offering a consistent identity platform for a wide range of internal AWS Data, ML, and Business applications.
Basic Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
