Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Identity team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will design, build, and support the core systems used to manage identity on Cash App. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create a seamless and secure user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable identity systems
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to support audits and implement regulatory controls
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for our services
  • Work with industry-leading identity verification technologies
  • Contribute to the growth of our development capabilities through leading, mentoring, and supporting fellow engineers

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working on complex systems and delivering quality software
  • Well-developed curiosity and ability to build creative solutions to complex problems
  • Experience working on systems where data consistency and availability is required
  • Strong communication skills and customer empathy
  • Expertise in the full software development life cycle
