Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at Mon Sheong Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and hiring functions, supporting health and safety programs, maintaining HR databases and files, and providing administrative assistance to the HR team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, advertising, screening, phone interviews, scheduling, and onboarding.
  • Ensure timely completion of accident/injury reporting to WSIB and support return-to-work procedures.
  • Participate in JHSC meetings and attend workplace inspections as required.
  • Maintain and update HR files and records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Foundation policies.
  • Work closely with Payroll on new hire administrations, terminations, and payroll records.
  • Maintain and update HRIS and training systems.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as required.
  • Promote employee recognition and retention through staff events and recognition programs.

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in Human Resources.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation and regulations (ESA, OHSA, Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, etc.).
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle HR issues with discretion.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese (an asset).
