About the RoleThe Commis 2 is a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and executing menu items, including In Room Dining. Responsibilities- Prepares and executes menu items, including In Room Dining
- Sets up food stations and obtains necessary equipment and materials
- Prepares food stations for service, including organizing and managing banquets and buffets
- Cleans and inspects kitchens and food service areas, ensuring a neat and organized work environment
- Prepares and plates items received from the computer system in a timely and accurate manner
- May specialize in Pastry cooking
- Prepares dishes for guests with allergies or food intolerances
- Communicates with cooks regarding timing
- Maintains records and orders food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as required
- Culinary education is strongly preferred, but several years of commercial cooking experience may substitute
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- Passion for food
- Excellent knife skills and cleanliness
- Strong command of the English language
- Excellent commitment to service and teamwork
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check
- Eligibility to work in Canada
