Job Title: Physiotherapy Assistant

The Halton Healthcare team is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to support our occupational therapists and physiotherapists in our inpatient rehab and complex transitional care units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists in patient care and rehabilitation
  • Progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions under supervision
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Meet the physical demands of a moderately heavy job

Requirements:

  • Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
  • At least one year experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseload
  • Initiative, flexibility, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record
