About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Executive Housekeeper to join our team at Airport Inn. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping staff and ensuring that our hotel rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular inspections of hotel rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
    • Identify and address any issues or concerns that may arise during inspections.
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
    • Manage staff schedules and rotas to ensure that the housekeeping department is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Safety and Security
    • Ensure that all housekeeping staff are aware of and comply with our hotel's safety and security policies and procedures.
    • Identify and address any potential safety and security risks in the hotel.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with other departments, including front office, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure that the housekeeping department is working effectively with other teams.
    • Provide regular updates to management on the performance of the housekeeping department.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance
    • Ability to motivate and develop staff
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The Hotel Executive Housekeeper will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role will also require the ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
