Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse

At Health Sciences Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
Responsibilities:- Provide independent nursing services, including administration of interventions and treatments.
- Take a leadership role within the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
- Maintain and provide proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
- Recent, related mental health experience preferred.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
- Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.
- Ability to delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care.
- Competency in an Aboriginal language and/or knowledge in Aboriginal customs, traditions, and values.
- Demonstrated critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
