About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Operations Manager to join our team at Socla Trucking Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our trucking operations, ensuring seamless logistics and transportation services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and train a team of truck drivers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operations Management: Coordinate and schedule trucking activities, including dispatching drivers, monitoring routes, and managing logistics.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports on trucking operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for truck drivers, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Cross-Cultural Support: Provide support and mentorship to newcomers and refugees, helping them to integrate into our team and succeed in their roles.
  • Indigenous Support: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, providing cultural competency training and awareness to all employees.
  • Visible Minority Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, offering mentorship programs and diversity training to create a welcoming work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
