Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. This role will also involve training and supervising a team of accounting staff, preparing and submitting reports, and coordinating activities with other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise a team of accounting staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments, including purchasing, sales, and customer service.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work as required.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure smooth operation of the accounting department.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

The Accounting Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large caseload. The ideal candidate will be able to work accurately and efficiently under pressure, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
