Canola Parent Seed Summer Associate Opportunity

Duration: 4 - 6 months (Summer)

Kamloops, BC

Hourly Wage: $22 - $30

BASF's Agricultural Solutions division is seeking a Canola Parent Seed Summer Associate to join our team in Kamloops, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of parent seed, focusing on meeting yield and quality standards.
  • Participate in all aspects of parent seed production, including site preparation, planting, spraying, volunteer control, roguing, crop inspection, pollination, harvest activities, and site cleanup.
  • Monitor the health of the crop as it matures and provide data and recommendations.
  • Supervise casual employees and maintain grower relations.
Requirements:

Agronomic Knowledge: Pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a related field, with experience in the agriculture/natural science industry.

Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work independently and contribute to a dynamic team environment, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Attention to Detail: Proven ability to deliver results and maintain a strong attention to detail.

Driver's License: Class 3 driver's license or Heavy Trailer Endorsement is an asset.
