Job Title: Childcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Specialist to join our team at Curious Montessori Inc. As a Childcare Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare services to our children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and creative activities to engage children and encourage their creativity.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ability to maintain a compliant environment.
Support for Persons with Disabilities:
  • Provides physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators.
  • Provides visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers.
  • Provides auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software and teletypewriters.
  • Participates in government or community programs that support persons with disabilities.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participates in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Assists with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation.
  • Supports social and labor market integration, including language training and skills training.
Support for Youth:
  • Participates in government or community programs that support youth employment.
  • Offers on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities for youth.
Support for Veterans:
  • Participates in government or community programs that support Veterans.
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Veterans.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participates in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Participates in government or community programs that support mature workers.
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination.
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • Participates in government or community programs that support visible minorities.
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against visible minorities.
