Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Estimator to join our team at 911 Construction. This is a permanent position that requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in estimating costs for various construction projects.

Work Environment

  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a related field
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
  • Calculate general expenses and overheads associated with projects.
  • Project cash flow and financing requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Create and submit comprehensive estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Provide guidance on tendering processes.
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures as necessary.
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimates and project adjustments.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in estimating, take-off, and scheduling software.
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Familiarity with SAP (FI/CO / HR / MM / OT SD) is an asset.
Type of Experience
  • Experience in civil, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential construction.
Project Size Estimation
  • Experience estimating projects ranging from $0 to $8,000,000.
Work Conditions
