Position Overview

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to become an integral part of our innovative team at MNP, a leading provider of Cloud Accounting Services. In this role, you will leverage advanced technology to deliver comprehensive financial services to our clients, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll management. This position allows you to play a crucial role in a fast-paced and evolving financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complete bookkeeping and payroll processes for MNP clients
  • Prepare and oversee payroll, sales ledgers, receivables, expenses, payables, and payroll deductions
  • Establish client files, assist in budget preparation, and perform administrative duties
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and more
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, liaise with government entities, and foster relationships with clients and colleagues

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of comprehensive bookkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms such as QBO and Xero is preferred
  • Knowledge of sales taxes, payroll taxes, and corporate taxation
  • Experience with traditional bookkeeping software is advantageous
  • Proficiency in both English and French is required
