About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Buyer to join our team at Adhara Trading Corporation. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring the timely delivery of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing
    • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
    • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
    • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Supervise the work of other buyers and provide guidance and support as needed.
    • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
