Job Title: Assistant Buyer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Buyer to join our team at Adhara Trading Corporation. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in sourcing and purchasing merchandise for resale, while providing exceptional customer service and supporting the buying team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships with Suppliers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  • Negotiate Prices and Terms: Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Provide Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Review Requirements and Determine Purchasing Needs: Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and Purchase Merchandise: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring that it meets quality and quantity standards.
  • Supervise Work of Other Buyers: Supervise the work of other buyers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Visit Trade Shows and Showrooms: Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and products.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
