**Job Summary**

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Traditional Counselor - Spiritual Guidance. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual guidance and support to clients, while also assisting with the development of traditional ceremonies and belief systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide spiritual guidance and support to clients, including traditional ceremonies and belief systems.
  • Assist with the development of traditional programming and services.
  • Work closely with community leaders and stakeholders to build relationships and promote cultural understanding.
  • Provide offender services, including rehabilitation and reintegration programs.
  • Ensure the ongoing provision and enforcement of policy and services within the Corrections Mission, Vision and Value statement.

**Requirements:**

  • Post-Secondary Certificate in Social Sciences related field.
  • One (1) year of progressively more responsible experience in a counselling field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Class 4 Driver's License.
  • Strong awareness of cultural diversity, specifically, northern Aboriginal traditions and values.
