We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team at RealHomes Management Corporation. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment/condominium complex and commercial building.
Key Responsibilities- Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse from the premises.
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
- Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Perform safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the overall appearance of the building.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to maintain a visually appealing environment.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate independence and self-motivation.
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to maintain a safe and accessible environment.
- Cleaning experience is essential for this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building and its surroundings.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial for this role, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment.
