Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team at Mon Sheong. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and hiring process, supporting health and safety programs, maintaining HR databases and files, and providing administrative assistance to the HR team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, advertising, screening, phone interviews, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and onboarding new employees.
  • Ensure timely completion of accident/injury reporting to WSIB and support return-to-work procedures.
  • Participate in JHSC meetings and attend workplace inspections as required.
  • Maintain and ensure all HR files and records are up-to-date and in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Work closely with Payroll on new hire administrations, terminations, and providing payroll records/changes in accordance with bi-weekly pay cycles.
  • Maintain and update HRIS and training systems.
  • Assist and support HR projects/initiatives as required.
  • Promote employee recognition and retention by assisting with annual staff events and recognition programs.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma or post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in Human Resources.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation and regulations (ESA, OHSA, Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with HR issues with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese a definite asset.
