The role of a Mechanic Helper at Browns Automotive involves supporting skilled tradespeople in various automotive tasks. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry.
Education Requirements- No formal education, certificate, or diploma is required.
The work environment is typically dusty, requiring individuals to be comfortable in such conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in moving tools, equipment, and materials.
- Support surveying activities by holding stakes.
- Communicate safety procedures to coworkers and the public.
- Provide assistance to tradespersons and apprentices as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas.
This position is physically demanding and requires:
- Manual dexterity and the ability to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Handling heavy loads, with a maximum weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- Ability to manage a large workload and work effectively under pressure.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a willingness to learn and grow within the automotive field.
ExperienceNo prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.
