Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator involves the precise and efficient handling of items within the facility.

Main Duties
  • Accurately pick, pack, and relocate items while maintaining thorough records of all movements.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling.
  • Perform pre-use inspections of equipment and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Enter data into the storage application using computers and tablets with precision.
  • Ensure a safe and organized environment in both storage and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Prepare equipment for pickup through wrapping, banding, and staging.
  • Complete shipping documentation accurately.
  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments against invoices or other documentation, noting shortages and rejecting damaged items.
  • Assist the Asset Management Coordinator in strategizing equipment placement and optimizing available space.
  • Support warehouse and inventory audits.
  • Maintain asset documentation and perform maintenance tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Relevant experience in an industrial operations or inventory management role is preferred.
  • Proficient forklift operation skills.
  • Intermediate skills in computer and tablet usage.
  • Experience in lifting and rigging at an intermediate to expert level.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Results-driven with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Environment
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required occasionally.
  • Potential for extended hours.
  • Work environment may include exposure to loud noises, temperature variations, and dusty conditions.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Work in a heavy industry facility requiring climbing, lifting, and navigating uneven terrain.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a computer or workstation.
