Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled French Language Project Manager to join our team at Localizationacademy. As a key member of our localization team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of French language content across our products and services.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Language Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of French language content, ensuring precision and cultural alignment across both Canadian and French markets.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with external service providers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless language management and localization processes.
  3. Style Guide and Terminology Management: Develop and maintain in-market style guides and terminology resources, ensuring consistency and precision across language markets.
  4. Linguistic Training and Feedback: Provide linguistic training to vendors and offer continuous feedback to improve translation quality.
  5. Customer Feedback and Insights: Integrate customer feedback and insights into the holistic business and linguistic strategy, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  6. Team Collaboration and Support: Provide substantial support to cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, ensuring their language requirements are met.
  7. Process Optimization: Collaborate with the Localization Manager to enhance and optimize localization processes, identifying opportunities for scaling within localization workflows and external systems.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Native-level proficiency in French and excellent written and verbal fluency in English.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in language management and language quality assurance.
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics or translation; master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with translation tools such as Phrase, WorldServer, and Trados.
  • Bonus points for knowledge of SAAS software, accounting terminology, and practices.
