Teaching Opportunity at the Toronto Catholic District School Board

We are seeking a qualified French Teacher to join our team for the 2023-24 academic year. As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French language and culture to students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French language and culture to students in a Primary, Junior, Intermediate, or Senior division
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice

Requirements:

  • Certification and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • French language proficiency and FSL qualifications
  • Pastoral Reference Letter from a Roman Catholic Parish or completion of the Priest Reference Form
  • Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing), a Transitional Certificate of qualification, or an interim OCT certificate
  • Practicum reports for teacher evaluations
  • Resume and Cover Letter addressed to the Sr. Manager of Recruitment, Human Resources
  • Two (2) Associate/Host Teacher references or an alternate reference source
