About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cook at My Cousin Vinny's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including special meals for patients as instructed by our dietitian or chef.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain optimal kitchen operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and achieve our culinary goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Restaurant setting with a fast-paced environment and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
