About the Role

Mehraz Building Dreams Inc. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of floor coverings for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.
  • Installation and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, estimate costs and materials, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Equipment Operation: Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting, perform direct glue-down carpet installations, and install outdoor carpets.
  • Client Communication: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a seamless installation process.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset, with a focus on physical labor and installation work.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role, requiring handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts and locations.
