Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager - Transportation to join our team at 2219019 Ontario Inc. as a Supervisor of Logistics Operations. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in transportation management and supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 truck drivers and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of transportation operations.
  • Operations Management: Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including the preparation of production and other reports, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training of team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in transportation management.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Material Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support transportation operations.
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling: Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure the smooth operation of transportation services.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in transportation management or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
