Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data professionals to build data pipelines, ETL processes, and machine learning workflows using Spark.
  • Optimize Spark jobs for maximum performance and resource efficiency.
  • Integrate Java applications with Spark clusters, utilizing Spark's APIs for effective data manipulation and analysis.
  • Develop real-time and batch processing applications leveraging Spark Streaming and Spark SQL.
  • Implement data caching, partitioning, and parallel processing strategies to enhance job performance.
  • Work with cloud technologies to deploy and manage Spark applications in distributed environments.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and analytics use cases, delivering appropriate solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Java Developer with expertise in Apache Spark.
  • Strong command of Java programming, focusing on scalable and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Spark, including Spark Streaming and Spark SQL.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and HDFS.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for managing Spark applications.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools is a plus.
  • Certification in Apache Spark or related technologies is beneficial.
