Audio Software Developer

The Xbox Audio team at Microsoft Canada is seeking a passionate Software Engineer II dedicated to audio innovation and advanced hardware development. This role involves working on low-level drivers and firmware that interact with cutting-edge audio technology.
CompensationAnnual salary range: $83,600–$159,600
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather user requirements for audio features.
- Identify dependencies and contribute to the creation of design documentation with minimal oversight.
- Develop and implement code for audio products, services, or features, leveraging existing code where applicable.
- Assist in breaking down larger tasks into manageable work items and provide estimations.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring system performance and addressing simple issues as they arise.
- Stay updated on industry advancements to enhance product availability, reliability, and performance.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 2 years of technical engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Preferred:
A strong enthusiasm for audio technologies and hardware, along with excellent design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Proficient verbal and written communication abilities are also essential.
