Job Summary:

The Varsity Facility Lead will play a key role in the operational management and supervision of NAIT's Athletic & Rec Facilities during the varsity season and events. This position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and safety of the facilities, providing support to varsity sports teams, coaches, student-athletes, and spectators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Gymnasium and Arena
  • Provide support to varsity sports teams and events
  • Ensure the maintenance and safety of the facilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors
  • Collaborate with the Recreation Facilities Coordinator and other departments to achieve facility management goals

Requirements:

  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in facility management, preferably in a sport or recreational environment
  • CPR Level C & AED Certifications
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Safe Spaces or EDI training is an asset

Working Conditions:

This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support facility operations and varsity events.

Remuneration:

$19.02– $24.74 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation pay.
