Under the strategic leadership of the Vice President, Specialized Claims and Recovery Services, the Senior Director is accountable for the overarching vision, strategic direction, and leadership of the Division. This role encompasses significant responsibility, particularly in high-risk areas that may influence the organization's financial stability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Champion the core vision and values of the organization.
- Ensure that all management and staff within the Division comprehend and embody the vision and values, aligning their initiatives and actions accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Vice President to shape a unified vision for the Division, adhering to contemporary principles of effective governance.
- Engage the management team in realizing this vision through the formulation and implementation of the annual business strategy and divisional objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in the management and execution of programs and services, ensuring that necessary policies, standards, and performance metrics are established and upheld.
- Facilitate quality management and continuous improvement initiatives, assessing the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of services and programs.
- In partnership with the Vice President, participate in the strategic planning of the Division's financial, physical, and human resources, including the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Ensure optimal organization, staffing, and management of human resources within the reporting structure.
Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, coupled with extensive experience in program development and delivery.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years in progressively responsible leadership and management roles within a large, complex organization, particularly in areas related to insurance, disability management, or public sector services. Experience in public sector management is preferred, as well as exposure to diverse stakeholder environments.
