Lanark Lodge is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our nursing home/home for the aged setting. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering excellent patient outcomes and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and ensure infection control
- Apply aseptic techniques, including sterile dressing, and conduct specimen collection
- Monitor nutritional intake and observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
- Take vital signs and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
- Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
- Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Ability to work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment
