U12 - Counsellor, Youth & Family I - Perm Night Shift

Job Summary:

Wood's Homes is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth and Family Counsellor I to join our U12 team on a permanent night shift basis. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality services to children, youth, and families, promoting their personal and social development in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a structured environment that fosters the growth and well-being of each client.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, supervisory meetings, and in-service training to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and their families, including attendance at case conferences, intervention strategies, and consultations.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the living space and maintain a program that meets the requirements of the Licensing Department.
  • Perform various tasks associated with program functioning, including meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
  • Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field, with a minimum of two to four years of experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license and own transportation are necessary.
