Youth & Family Counsellor Role at Woods Homes

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth & Family Counsellor at Woods Homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality services to children, youth, and families in a structured setting.

As a Counsellor, you will implement and maintain a supportive environment that fosters the development of personal and social functioning for each client. You will also participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and in-service training to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest best practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing therapeutic responsibilities for children, youth, and their families, including case management and intervention strategies.
  • Maintaining the upkeep of the living space and ensuring the provision of a program that meets licensing requirements.
  • Providing transportation, meal preparation, and other tasks associated with program functioning.

Qualifications include:

  • Diploma/Undergraduate Degree in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum two to four years of related experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Class 5 driver's license and own transportation.
