Lighthouse Program Counsellor

The Lighthouse Program is a specialized, community-based live-in program for children and youth aged 12 – 17 with complex service needs. Our team is seeking a dedicated and passionate Counsellor to support high-risk individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and families in a structured setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support clients with daily programming routines, educational placements, and meal preparation.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy living environment for clients.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and in-service training.

Requirements

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Nursing.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Certification in crisis intervention, restrictive procedures, and behaviour management preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Class 5 Driver's License and personal mode of transportation required.
