We are seeking a Government Affairs Analyst to become a vital part of our on-site team in Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigating significant stories, political developments, and evaluating governmental and financial policies;
  • Keeping abreast of current events in Canadian politics, finance, and culture;
  • Analyzing information and systematically organizing your findings;
  • Conducting comprehensive research utilizing diverse sources such as academic publications, news reports, public records, and interviews;
  • Collaborating with the Executive Producer to draft scripts for video production;
  • Partnering with the marketing team to create content and disseminate it through various online platforms and social media.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in political science, business, or finance; experience in journalism or reporting is a plus.
  • Experience in the industry or a strong interest in writing or politics;
  • Familiarity with Canadian Press style guidelines;
  • A professional and engaging demeanor;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret political data, news, and events, providing insightful commentary and forecasts;
  • Attention to detail and clarity in communication;
  • Self-motivated, diligent, and proactive;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to breaking news;
  • Professional appearance suitable for a formal business setting;
  • Proficient in using cloud and Android applications such as WhatsApp, Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs), Box, Salesforce, and Slack.
