Overview

As a pivotal member of the Strategic Programs and Communications team at Okta, Inc., the Manager of Community Engagement and Event Programming will spearhead initiatives that foster a vibrant community and enhance employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Management: Oversee the comprehensive planning and execution of internal events, including offsites and community gatherings, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.
  • Community Building: Develop and implement strategies that promote inclusivity and collaboration among employees within the Customer Identity Product Unit.
  • Communication: Craft all attendee-facing materials, including registration content, FAQs, and pre-event communications to ensure clarity and engagement.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize attendee feedback and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for future events, enhancing their impact and effectiveness.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and refine processes to ensure the successful scaling of community engagement programs and events.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing both in-person and virtual events, including vendor management and budget oversight.
  • A strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • A passion for creating meaningful community engagement experiences.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced remote work environment.
  • Experience in video editing is a plus.
