Job Summary

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at BC Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician-scientist or clinician-investigator to provide clinical care, education, and participate in research activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have expertise in pediatric gastroenterology, with a particular focus on pediatric hepatology. Experience in pediatric liver transplantation is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality clinical care, academic research, and teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders
  • Participate in research activities, including clinical trials and basic science research
  • Contribute to the development of educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain a specialist license to practice medicine in British Columbia
  • Sub-specialty training in pediatric gastroenterology
  • Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Strong commitment to academic research and teaching
