About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Safeway Electrical Inc. as an Electronic Products Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch repair and maintenance services for a variety of electronic equipment and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Electronic Equipment: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on electronic equipment and assemblies to identify any faults or defects.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Use your technical expertise to diagnose and repair circuit, component, and equipment faults.
  • Adjust and Repair Electronic Equipment: Adjust, align, replace, or repair electronic equipment and assemblies to ensure proper functioning.
  • Complete Work Orders and Reports: Accurately complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports to document your work.
  • Prepare Cost Estimates: Prepare cost estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to understand electronic equipment and assemblies.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
  • Work Setting: On-site customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Networks and Wireless Networks: Knowledge of networks and wireless networks, including wireless routers.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience as a Field Service Technician or in a related field is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
