**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our data and that of our customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement an organization-wide data loss protection program, including the creation of policies, procedures, and technical controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data assets requiring protection and determine appropriate data protection measures.
- Evaluate and select technologies and tools to support the program and oversee their implementation and configuration.
- Monitor and analyze incidents and Data Loss Protection (DLP) tool alerts to identify potential security threats or breaches and take appropriate action to prevent data loss.
- Educate and train employees on data governance policies and procedures, best practices, and information security awareness.
- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure data governance policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in security incident response activities, including investigations and remediation efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data protection and data governance and assess their relevance to our organization.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security.
- Experience in selecting and deploying data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and tools.
- One of the following certifications would be a major asset: CISSP, CIPP, CDPSE.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study, and maintaining technical cybersecurity skills.
- Bilingualism (French/English).
- No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
