Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Prince George.
This role involves the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, ordering parts as needed, and performing repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
- Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems to complete tasks.
- Accurately document work orders, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent.
- Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
- Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
- Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
- Meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, sensory processing, and fine motor control.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment.
- Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
- Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
