Position Overview
We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to fill the role of Loss Prevention Security Guards. In this critical position, your attentiveness and commitment will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and protect assets while minimizing losses for our retail client.
- Conduct regular surveillance and patrols of the premises.
- Utilize strong observational skills to identify and prevent theft, fraud, or security breaches.
- Engage with customers and staff to deter potential incidents while providing excellent customer service.
- Investigate suspicious activities and review CCTV footage as necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when required and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Enforce security protocols and de-escalate conflicts effectively.
- Make lawful arrests in appropriate situations.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Security Guard License.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- A minimum of one year of security experience in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to work at various locations as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in preparing professional daily and incident reports.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Military, police, or law enforcement background is advantageous.
- Exceptional situational awareness and observational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Physical capability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
Training Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to complete Use of Force Training, Lawful Subject Restraint, and Crisis Management training, with annual re-certification. Comprehensive training will be provided to new employees, along with orientation courses through Securiguard University for skill enhancement.
