We are currently seeking an Assurance Manager to enhance our Private Client Services division. In this role, you will collaborate as a team member on a variety of client engagements within our national practice. Our clientele encompasses local, national, and internationally recognized organizations. RSM's assurance experts assist companies in enhancing their performance through even the most challenging business cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses expectations, including coordinating review engagements and compiling financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design procedures to communicate with engagement teams.
  • Utilize RSM's methodologies for reviews, compilations, and audits effectively.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare evaluations at the conclusion of engagements for staff.
  • Understand the skills and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitoring and reviewing their work products while providing constructive feedback.
  • Supervise engagement teams, facilitating fieldwork by tracking productivity and adherence to work plans for each assignment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand significant developments in their businesses and assess impacts on current engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the firm through training, career advice, and participation in various initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant insights with clients as appropriate.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Comprehend RSM's service lines and discuss potential opportunities with client management.
  • Develop strategies to leverage external relationships to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability effectively.
  • Communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Ensure continuous professional development through ongoing education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the firm’s standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • 5+ years of recent experience in a public accounting setting.
  • Experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Knowledge of compilation, review, audit, and tax services, with a solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A proven track record of establishing profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
