Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize the use of portfolio resources to achieve business objectives, in line with key priorities.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders contributing to the delivery of priority projects.
  • Influence and support business line portfolio managers in the prioritization and sequencing of initiatives.
  • Act as a delivery expert and make recommendations to management to maximize execution efficiency and speed.
  • Ensure and optimize the budget tracking of the bank's project portfolio.
  • Initiate changes to current methods for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain effective methodology, processes, and tools for portfolio management by sharing best practices and knowledge within the organization.
  • Set up management KPIs to measure the progress of the bank's portfolio.
  • Produce tactical and strategic dashboards demonstrating the state of the portfolio.
  • Deploy and maintain rigorous governance that promotes the cross-cutting prioritization of initiatives.
  • Analyze and recommend sequencing optimizations for initiatives in the context of cross-project/sector/domain constraints.
  • Contribute to the optimization of the project delivery framework (Agility at scale).

The IT and Operations sector is a dynamic and agile team of over 5500 experts who work collaboratively to seize opportunities, stay at the cutting edge of technology, and continuously improve processes.

As a member of this team, you will report to the Senior Director of Portfolio and Cross-Functional Delivery, Execution, Transformation, and GDMO (Dynamic Workforce Management). Our team is known for its desire to evolve processes to generate efficiency.

Requirements
  • Completed bachelor's degree, related to the industry, and ten years of relevant experience or completed Master's degree, related to the industry, and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology project portfolio management.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Experience managing internal and external partners and suppliers.
  • Experience in business process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Agile delivery methods and effective ambiguity management.
  • Knowledge of the banking sector, an asset.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), an asset.
  • Ability to simplify issues, risks, and business objectives.
  • Ability to understand the business realities of the sectors involved.
  • Good communication and ability to synthesize at all levels of the organization (from team members to executives).
