Facility Operations Specialist

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Facility Assistant III in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the facility and achieving production targets while providing exceptional customer service and leadership to other Facility Assistants.

Responsibilities:

* Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
* Assisting the Operations Manager in mentoring and educating Facility Assistants in grading, inventory management, and safety practices
* Exercising competency in grading canola, wheat, oats, and barley
* Binning and blending of all incoming grain
* Performing exceptional customer service duties
* Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
* Blending fertilizer
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

Requirements:

* 3+ years' experience in the operation of a grain elevator
* Experience as a team lead/supervisor
* Through knowledge and understanding of the grain industry, including grading factors and elevator equipment
* Trained in Health & Safety procedures and a champion for a safe work environment
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to work within an environment subject to dust and allergens
* Flexible work schedule
* Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Post-Secondary education preferably in agriculture or business
* Aptitude for maintenance and repair of grain elevator equipment
