Facility Assistant III Role

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Facility Assistant III in our Weyburn, Saskatchewan location.

About the Role

As a Facility Assistant III, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the facility and achieving production targets while demonstrating exceptional customer service and leadership skills. This role involves monitoring safe operating procedures, maintaining documentation, and contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation of the facility, including loading/unloading shipments and maintaining equipment
  • Mentor and educate Facility Assistants in grading, inventory management, and safety practices
  • Exercise competency in grading canola, wheat, oats, and barley
  • Perform regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
  • Blending fertilizer and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in the operation of a grain elevator
  • Experience as a team lead/supervisor
  • Through knowledge and understanding of the grain industry, including grading factors and elevator equipment
  • Trained in Health & Safety procedures and a champion for a safe work environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to dust and allergens
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education preferably in agriculture or business
  • Aptitude for maintenance and repair of grain elevator equipment
