As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering revenues and expenditures, promoting conference and meeting services or special events, and recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff and/or volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer revenues and expenditures, ensuring accurate financial management of events.
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events, developing marketing strategies to attract clients and attendees.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, ensuring a skilled and dedicated team to support event execution.
  • Prepare, present, and manage budgets, ensuring effective financial planning and control.
  • Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, attending to related details to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Co-ordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
  • Research and design special events programs, creating unique and engaging experiences for attendees.
  • Plan for social events and guest programs, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
  • Identify human resources requirements, ensuring adequate staffing and support for event execution.

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 30 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
