Nurse Practitioner

Lakeridge Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care using the nursing process, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Assume a leadership role, mentoring and guiding colleagues to achieve excellence in patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines to ensure the highest level of care.
- Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing).
- Current B.C.L.S.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by the CNO.
- Two years recent experience in acute surgical care, including thoracic experience, PCA, Epidural management, central lines/TPN, chest tubes, management of complex wounds, ostomy care, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to assume a leadership/supervisory role.
- Demonstrated good organizational, interpersonal, communication skills, both written and verbal, problem-solving, prioritization, and teaching skills.
- Proven ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations.
- Proven ability to lift, turn, transfer patients manually and with mechanical aids.
- B.Sc.N. is preferred.
- Must have a satisfactory performance record.

- The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).
- Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
