About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our Rail and Transit Infrastructure practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing the development and growth of our Transit/Rail practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design for linear infrastructure projects and programs as a Project Manager or Project Director.
  2. Take ownership for all aspects of the management of projects from proposal to close-out, including managing teams, sub-consultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  3. Interface with GHD Design and design team (potentially located internationally).
  4. Accountable to contractor questions, reviews shop drawings, and attends sites during construction as required.
  5. Prepare, track, and administer project budgets.
  6. Liaison with clients, participates in business development and promotional activities for the company.
Requirements:
  1. Registered P. Eng in Ontario.
  2. Accredited with PMP certification (or working towards).
  3. Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
  4. 15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit Projects.
  5. Project Delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB, PDB), and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
  6. Experience with a project through alliance delivery model is highly desirable.
