Position Overview:

General Fusion is a leading company in the development of commercially-viable fusion power plants. We are seeking an experienced Pulsed Power Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our large power supplies and pulsed power systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with high voltage and high current systems. They will be responsible for designing and testing pulsed power components and systems, as well as deploying and coordinating with internal and external groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of high voltage and high current pulsed power components and systems
  • Testing and validation of pulsed power systems
  • Deployment and coordination with internal and external groups
  • Design for challenging environments (high temperature, high vacuum, EMI, reactive metal, high shock/vibration)

Requirements:

Education:

A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with high voltage and high current systems
  • Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly advancing and evolving work environment
  • Strong documentation and organization skills and experience with tools such as MS Office, Sharepoint, PDM, Github, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with other team members

Expected Salary Range - $90,000 - $100,000
