Job Title: Philanthropic Advisory Specialist

RBC Dominion Securities Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Philanthropic Advisory Specialist to provide strategic advice and guidance to high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients in developing their family philanthropic and legacy plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement philanthropic strategies and solutions for HNW and UHNW clients, leveraging expertise in Canadian tax rules and issues unique to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals.
  • Collaborate with RBC Wealth Management advisors and Family Office Services tax, legal, business owner, and financial planning specialists to identify and pursue new philanthropy wealth planning engagements.
  • Deliver customized memos or PowerPoint presentations summarizing strategies and discussions, facilitating implementation of recommendations with clients' accountants or lawyers.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the strategic vision and long-term goals for the RBC Charitable Gift Program, aligning with Wealth Management Canada's mission, values, and goals.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English and French, with the ability to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • University degree and 10+ years of related experience in accounting, tax law, wealth planning, or philanthropy.
  • Strong knowledge and technical proficiency in charitable giving strategies, issues, and trends.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills to build deep, trusted partnerships with target clients.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with colleagues at all levels across a global matrix organization.
